Stenciling:

Stenciling is a great way to add a touch of pattern or design to your walls. You can find stencils at most home improvement stores, and they come in a variety of patterns, from simple geometric shapes to intricate floral designs.  You can even create your own designs!

Sponge painting:

Sponge painting is a simple but effective technique that can create a variety of effects. To sponge paint, you will need a sponge, a roller, and two different colors of paint. Apply the first color of paint to the wall with the roller, and then use the sponge to dab on the second color. The amount of pressure you use will determine the intensity of the second color.

Faux finishes:

Faux finishes are a great way to create a realistic look without the high cost of hiring a professional. There are many different faux finishes that you can try, such as Venetian plaster, crackle paint, and faux wood.

Marbling:

Marbling is a technique that can create a stunning, swirling pattern on your walls. To marble paint, you will need a special marbling paint, a sponge, and a water basin. Apply the marbling paint to the wall with the sponge, and then use your fingers to create the swirling pattern.

Color blocking:

Color blocking is a great way to add some drama to your walls. To color block, you will need two or three different colors of paint. Paint one wall with one color, and then paint another wall with another color. You can also paint the same wall with two or three different colors, creating a striped or checkered pattern.
